After many times meeting Master & Engineer Nguyen Tien Hung at the Army Youth Union exchange programs, every time Hung refuses to talk much about himself, but only talked about the collective achievements of the unit that he works. Perhaps because of that, he made the other person loved him by the kindness, sincerity, simplicity, humility, and extremely likable of Uncle Ho’s soldier.
Although only turning 35, this talented Secretary of the Union “owns” up to 32 scientific – initiatives projects (as author and co-author) and solutions of ensuring safety and rationalization in production, bringing hundreds of millions of dong to the unit each year.
As a technician of the Pyrotechnic Ignition Devices Workshop, one of the specific workshops of the Z121 Factory with a high potential risk of fire and explosion, Hung and his colleagues determined that safety work is always a vital issue at the forefront of quests. With the spirit of “storming, volunteering” of youth, Hung himself is always exemplary in his words and actions, seriously obeys the rules and regulations of the Factory, and at the same time regularly checks and reminds cadres and Youth Union members to comply with the prescribed process. With the spirit of building a strong team based on a good product basis, Tien Hung is therefore very cautious, taking safety and product quality first. Since being assigned to work at Pyrotechnic Ignition Devices Workshop, Tien Hung is always aware that he must be cautious, meticulous, specific for each step, each stage of production so that the finished goods from the production lines must be achieved on schedule, stable quality. And to do that well, it is necessary to control well the factors of team workmanship, the technological process and the source of inputs.
Trusted by the leaders of the unit, encouraged by friends and colleagues, Hung seemed to be more motivated to focus on professional duties. With the training capacity and qualifications, Hung regularly advises with the enterprise’s leaders to solve problems with technical problems, safety and quality of equipment and materials. In addition, Hung also participates in training and skills training for workers according to actual needs, ensuring timely response to human resources for production of units and factories. Moreover, he actively coordinated with the authorities to thoroughly solve problems arising in production.
Tien Hung is a young one, highly appreciated by Factory’s leaders for his proactive spirit to participate in promoting the movement of promoting technical innovation initiatives in the unit. He regularly coordinates effectively with functional agencies to implement research topics, scientific tasks and technical innovation initiatives. He himself is both a member of the Youth Science and Technology Team of the Factory Federation and also a member of the Youth Science and Technology Team of the Youth Union of Z121. Therefore, the name Nguyen Tien Hung has become familiar and appears regularly in the Factory’s commendation decisions on annual technical innovations and improvements.
If the initiative of one person annually calculated the degree of addition, then for Nguyen Tien Hung, the initiative calculated exponentially. Only preliminary from 2014 to 2019, he is the author and co-author of 32 scientific works, which have been practically applied and effectively created at the company. This is reflected in the labor efficiency and economic efficiency brought about from the project implementation. A lot of innovative projects not only apply to the reality of the unit, but also won high prizes at provincial scientific competitions and won the “Creative Youth” award among Military Youth, typically: “Researching, designing and manufacturing cushioning and temporary pressing equipment to produce fire particles K51SK”; “Researching, designing, and manufacturing of disassembly device using compressed air”; “Researching, designing and manufacturing of automatic resistor coil winding machine”, etc. Out of 32 innovative initiatives with high efficiency, there are 21 initiatives designed by only Master Nguyen Tien Hung and 11 other initiatives he joined his teammates. Most of the solutions and initiatives of Nguyen Tien Hung are aimed at ensuring safety, being proactive in production, saving in materials, increasing labor productivity, improving working environment and increasing life expectancy for product. Also from these achievements, for many years in a row, he was considered for the title of junior emulation fighter, and in 2019 only he was recognized as an emulation soldier for the entire military in the 2016-2018 period.
Despite being dynamic in all fields, but when talking about himself, he is very timid and humble, he confided: I often improve my knowledge, constantly learn to improve my professional skill right from the beginning with other comrades to soon to be the master of technology and modern equipment and machines that the unit currently had. At the same time, actively counsel and propose solutions to timely installation and settlement of equipment for the manufacture of products. “However, I said I did it too” (laughs).
Both working as a Technician and as a Secretary of the Youth Union, but not so that he does not fulfill his responsibilities on both shoulders. As the Secretary of the Youth Union of the Technical Proficiency Division, he is always a pioneer in activities. Although the plan of implementing the professional tasks is dense, but Hung always arranges and spends a priority time to organize the activities and maintain the full working order of the union. In the activities, he often focuses on propaganda and thorough education of Youth Union members to raise awareness and sense of responsibility in matters of safety and fire prevention. From the requirements of the unit commander and the daily work, Secretary Nguyen Tien Hung has mobilized all unionist to focus on well performing 03 breakthroughs: Strengthening safety assurance. in production and product quality improvement; investing in enhancing production technology capacity, developing new products in a synchronous and modern direction; improve the quality and efficiency of management, focusing on the management of materials and finance, strictly obey the prescribed process, work with quality, efficiency, and safety. In the past year, there were no unionist who committed social evils and actively participated in cultural and sport movements. The Youth Union Branch always won the title of Excellent Union.
